Go check out the Virtual Run Across America and get involved. I'd like to get the sight more interactive, just haven't figured out the best way to do that. If you have any ideas, your help would be greatly appreciated.
The Shirt That Races is also making its rounds. Want to get involved? Shoot me an email and I'll get you hooked up.
I'm looking for some new running shoes. I just bought the Nike Air Zoom Vomero+3 in orange, and I'm debating about just buying the same shoe in blue. They are very comfortable and offer great stability. I was hoping to buy a different shoe offering the same comfort and stability just for fun and variety, but don't want to shop. ;P Do you buy 2 different kinds of shoes to rotate or do you just buy two of the same to rotate?
Todays workout: 40 min Tempo Run, 120 min spin. Run on!

I would love to buy a spare pair of shoes to rotate... I think I really should.
But eehhrrmmm... "...but don't want to shop. ;P"...
Wat!??! Errhhmmm..
..
Wat??
I buy 2 different shoes and switch them up, especially for the long runs. Don't want any repetitive stress injuries!!
since i have yet to find "the" shoe for me, I bought 2 different brands this last time, and will rotate between them to see which i prefer. hoping i can become brand loyal at some point in my future :)
Right now I have 3 pairs. 2 of the Air Zoom Elites and 1 pair of the Air Spans. If I can ever kill out the one pair of Air Zoom Elites I'll just swap between the 2 LOL
When I find a shoe I like, I buy the same pair until they stop making them......and they always do.
Haha this "rotating shoes" idea is relatively new to me. But instead I just buy one and don't replace them until my feet hurt.
I usually don't start rotating two pair of shoes until I get close to the end of one pair and I'm breaking in the new pair.
I have 3 pairs that I rotate, but I kinda just end up wearing one pair because they are my favorites (nike dart)
You should review the vomeros on runningshoesreviewer.com! :)
i've thought about rotating shoes- sounds like a good idea. i guess i sort of do that with my trail shoe and my road shoe. i'm wearing the brooks trance and the asics gt 2140 trail, both with inserts for my sadly weak arches and overpronation.
I have shoes I rotate, but the more broken in pair, is used for my long runs.
I read somewhere that it's a good idea to rotate between two different types of shoes, because it allows you to use muscles differently, even slightly. It's supposed to be good. Or something.
(Sorry, I know I read something about that but clearly I don't remember the exact logic!)
I own those shoes in blue and orange and rotate between the two.
I also have a pair in red in the closet and another pair in blue on the way. So when the time comes, I don't have to fret if they are no longer being made. They are my favorite shoes ever. Can you tell?
I have a pair of New Balance that I recently reviewed, but I only use those on long runs every few weeks. I way prefer the Nike's...
I just baught a new pair of shoes, since the pair I use to wear are now discontinued :( I am not sold entirely on the new pair, I may return them and try a new pair.
I have two different kicks to rotate!!!
Brooks Defyance and Saucony Ride!!
I am leaning more towards liking the Brooks but they are both bad ass!!!
Happy Thursday!!!
I wear the Air Zoom Vomero 3+'s too (and love them). I just buy two at a time in diferent colors so I can keep track of how many miles I have on each.
