Lost My Worm

My early morning's are lost. I used to get up at 4am and feel like I could conquer the world. Now I can't even peel myself off the sheets. UGH! What is wrong with me???? Maybe my internal clock is shifting and I'm transferring over to the "sleep in" side. hmmmm Not good. :D

A lot going on today so not too much to blog about....EXCEPT.....per Kim's Looking for a Kansas City Marathon post yesterday....I'm adding a couple more half-marathons to my schedule. WOOT! WOOT!

I tossed the idea out to Mr. McRib and here's how our conversation went...

me: Want to go to Kansas City in April?
McRib: Sure!
me: OK. I'm going to run a half marathon while we're there. Is that OK?
McRib: NOOOOO!
me: {laughing} Why not?
McRib: Cause we'll be spending agazillion hours running all over the place and we won't get to do anything else.
me: But honey, it only takes 2 hours to run a half.
McRib: ARGH!!!
me: ROTFLMAO! I'm signing up!

I haven't chosen which ones to run yet, but it will be one in the spring and one in the fall. Run on!

That sounds so familiar. I think it's great to plan a vacation around a running event and my wife doesn't due to she thinks that we can't really do anything else until after the race do to me not wanting to change a routine.

I think it's the cold weather and darkness that keeps me from getting up early this time of year.

I can tell who is running the show over there. ;-)

I hope you actually SAID "ROTFLMAO"

Good luck with your decision!

I agree with Chad. It's the cold. Of course, this is coming from two guys in AZ. We get nippy easily.

Are you running a half in January? I have a contest on my blog, if you are.

Oh McRiblet, ha ha. I love the convo. Glad your signing up and a half is nothing! :)

I really need to pull out me 2009 calender and mark all the races I want to run. I want to run a million of them but not sure the ole budget and hubby can handle it all.

The Missus actually suggested we go on a trip and my taking my shoes in order to do a HM... I love shopping around for this stuff!

Well if you wake up at 5am, that would be like 3am in California. Just set your clocks accordingly. Oh, yea make sure you explain it to the boss.

Awesome! It always feels great to get a race on the calendar - is it twice as nice to have TWO scheduled??

Sorry the morning runs aren't working out for you anymore. I recently discovered that waking up in the morning (though admitedly tough to do) can be so rewarding.

Good luck on Kansas City!

The Mini Marathon in Indianapolis is a fabulous half if you want to think ahead to spring '10! First Saturday in May... :)

I used to get up at four too - and go to the gym before work. Now I can barely get up, shower, and be at work by 8:30 - oops!
