11 Days and the 12th was a bust. I don't know what happened, but as of 1:00pm yesterday, I am no longer sugar free. WAAAAAA! I don't really know why. The last 11 days have been easy peasy with little to no sugar weaknesses. And here I am sitting at my desk, a bag of little Heath candy bar bites were in my drawer to my right and there is just no pull to "just eat one, no one will know". I did not even have one iota of desperation to eat sugar, let along a Heath bite.
So, I'm just hanging out grading some papers and before you know it, I'm unwrapping a Heath bite and gnawing away. Yuck! Ok, so, let's have another. It was like a little pig-fest on something I didn't even enjoy. BLEH!
Now I feel sick! GAH! I don't know if it's the sudden shovel full of sugar or a type of candy bar I don't even enjoy. I can't believe I even ate them! I still don't know why. Maybe it was the challenge or curiosity of what that little Heath bite would taste like.
I could've at least held to my high standards and held out for a huge piece of chocolate cake or licorice or better yet, a tub of ice cream. I love ice cream. I'm a "eat it right out of the container" kinda girl. :D
I will be starting the 39 days over beginning today. After selflecting over the last 11 days, sugar is just overrated. [if you quote me on that, I'll have to hurt you].
Today's Workout: 45 min tempo run, 60 min spin. {temps are freezing, so the run is an iffy unless I make it to the Y}
RUN ON!

Good for you for hopping back on the wageon.
Oh...and I eat my ice cream out of the carton too!
Heck yeah, right out of the carton! Good luck on the do-over!
At least now you KNOW it is not worth it... you'll be less likely to cave next time. You can do it!
(Mmmmm, ice cream.........)
way to hop right back on the horse. I admire you for stopping sugar. Go get them.
Maybe you just need to work at this in steps. 11 days was a good start! This time it might be easier and quicker!
Sorry the streak ended but maybe you just needed some?? Good luck trying again.
Now that scoop of ice cream looks reallllllly good. :-)
Hahaha it's ok. Everyone has little slip-ups here and there. I went crazy on a bag of pretzels the other day!
Sometimes going "cold turkey" causes crazy eating frenzies. Good luck on your sugar free days. That's tough. I'd have to allow myself a cheat day in there once in awhile.
Good luck. I wish I could join in but I wouldn't make it.
i fell a few days ago... it was worth it for me. ;)
the temps here are about 10 degrees. It has to be at least 20 before I will run outside. I am a huge wimp.
We all need to eat everything in "moderation". Holy shit, where have we heard that before?!! LOL!
I could never go completely off of anything, I just try and maintain a decent serving.
Hang in there, figure out what works for you and all will be well :-)
There is just no way I could give up ice cream completely. I just enjoy it way too much.
Good luck with the do-over!
Do not be hard on yourself!!!
You just rock!!!
You can and will do it girlie!!!
I think that mindless munching I sometimes do at my desk is my biggest downfall on sugar for sure. I'm sure you'll do fine this time around, I'll still be watching to see if it doesn't kill you, I may try it.
Little setbacks happen. Don't let it stress you out. I had a bag of Skittles the other day -- first candy I've had in years -- and found that it was gross and I wasn't missing anything...
I am so sorry you fell off the wagon....sounds like the sugar was just begging to be eaten. Hang in there girl you can do it!!
I am an absolute FREAK woman about ice cream...but not just any ol' ice cream. It has to be Edys Yogurt blend cappuccino chip crunch. I eat it straight from the freezer and its becoming a VERY bad habit. Im thinking I might need to quit cold turkey :-)
